USCIS has added new online customer service options, including online inquiry and improved case status information features. The electronic inquiry is currently only available for case status information on Application to Replace Permanent Resident Card (Form I-90) and Application for Naturalization (Form N-400) cases that are outside normal processing times. Another added feature is online case status notification and change of address now available in Spanish. Forget about justice. There is only business. The logic is very simple:
Current Situation: You target some perceived very deep pockets customers and try to sell yourself to them, but now you realize that they are just some idiots;
What are the alternatives: You can continue to push/educate these idoits, or try to sell your self to somebody else. You may make less profit up front, but if you truely have something, you might be able to make more out of it in the long run;
What if everything fails: No matter how good your product is, if you are unable to sell it, regardless if it is because your stupidity or your clients/potential clients' stupidity, as long as you didn't captalize it, your product worth nothing.
The bottom line: when a business fails, nobody thinks/cares about how good your product is, on the contray, everything thinks you are an idoit that makes a product that doesn't sell.
What you can do at least: Wake up and forget about justice, there is none.

After we have filed for 485 and lets say we (me and my spouse) receive our EAD's. If I quit my job after 6 months of filing, can my spouse (secondary applicant) continue to renew her EAD's or would she have problems since I (the primary applicant) is no longer working for the company and maybe working for myself?

My wife switched from H4 to F1 status and is near completion of her Masters degree.
She will be traveling to India soon and will be getting her F1 visa stamped.
Documents/advice from anyone who has done this recently will be appreciated.

Hi
presently i am working on h1b for a tech company. I also have my ead (obtained as a result of july 07 fiasco).
Can i start a company, incorporate a llc or a class c company on my ead? What would be my options?
i know that if i had solely my h1b, i could start a class c company but not work for it(use a gc or a citizen) to do it
my question is that can i still continue on my status quo--ie use h1 for my employer and use ead to start a company, or i have to give up my h1 status? since my wife is on h4, i have to continue on h1b until she gets her ead.

So far, the USCIS has announced that it received 5,900 H-1B applications for the normal quota and an additional 4,500 for the advanced degree quota. These numbers were released yesterday, April 7, 2011.
In years past, many remember that the H-1B quota was exhausted as early as the first day of applications. Last year, the H-1B cap was not reached until January the following year. I would anticipate that with the economy still rebounding, the H-1B quota will last a significant amount of time. This will also ensure that everyone who can find a job offer this year will have a chance to make an H-1B application. Folks,
I am on my 6th year of H1B. My current H1 expires mid August 2009.
My PERM was filed in May 2008 and was approved in Dec 2008.
My I-140 is applied and pending. I work for an american consulting company.
Naturally, I dont have an EAD as yet.
Based on my PERM approval and 365 day rule, I know I can extend my current H1 for 1 year.
(planning to do this ASAP).
Here is my question:
- My current client contract will get terminated soon. If my current GC sponsoring company decides to terminate my employment (due to project non-availability), can i transfer my extended H1B to another employer?
In other words, is an extension H1 (7th year and beyond) similar to regular H1 (first 6 years) in regards to invoke the "transfer" rule between eligible employers? or is it tied to GC sponsoring employer?
- By doing so, do I abandon my GC application (i think i will, but general clarification) ?
Any advise would be greatly appreciated,

Now the Wall Street Journal picks up the theme. Words are nice. But if you can't control the vitriol coming from the Tea Party wing and actually work with Dems on immigration reform, you're not going to reverse the damage. In short, conservative Hispanics still perceive the GOP as anti-them. And PR campaigns aren't going to fix that problem. But promoting pro-immigration candidates, as some groups mentioned in the article are doing, is a hopeful sign.

I heard now they are issuing passports in less than a week.
If he has a GC he can still visit on his old country passport without any issues.

My EAD was about to expire in 4 months. I'm going to apply for the renewal. Can I keep working if the application is pending?
You can work as long as the EAD is valid. If you meant to ask if you can legally work while your old EAD has expired and your new EAD is pending, the answer is NO.
One more thing, the USCIS is required by law to make decision on your EAD application withing 90 days upon receiving your application. But someone didn't get that within 90 days. That casused problem bacause you can only apply for renewal of your EAD if it is 90 days or less before your old EAD will expire.
